Research Interests:

1.Molecular Biology of Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria

Based on the combination of high-throughput sequencing, genomics, transcriptomicsproteomicsmetabolomicsbiochemical and molecular biological techniques, Researches focus on the PGPR molecular mechanisms of plant disease biocontrol and plant growth promotion, including functional identification and expression regulation of the genes / gene clusters involved in biosynthesis of NRPSs and singnal molecule in PGPR -Plant interactions and so on.

2. Metabolic Engineering and Synthetic Biology of PGPR

Based on the combination of metabolic engineering, genome engineering and synthetic biology, Researches focus on  genetic modification of Paenibacillus polymyxa SC2, and construction of efficient multi-functional engineering strains for biocontrol, plant growth promotion , activation of soil nutrients and high resistance.

3. Development of Agricultural Microbial Preparation

On the basis of large scale screening of PGPR , Researches focus on the combination optimization of PGPR strains with different functions such as biocontrol, plant growth promotion, activation of soil nutrients and degradation of plant self toxic substances. The study also includes optimization of culture medium and fermentation process parameters, as well as screening of carrier, dosage form, synergist, protectant, stabilizer and so on. Finally, large-scale production process  of crop-special multi-functional microbial preparation will be established.
